One of West Virginia’s oldest operating businesses, Harper’s Old Country Store, is located in the heart of Seneca Rocks, WV and is beautifully situated in front of Pendleton County’s, Seneca Rocks. Harper’s Old Country Store was built in 1902 and is still operated by the Harper family.
The store offers a unique inside with many of its architecture still the same from 1902: the original board floor, blocked ceiling, original shelving and counters and many antiques throughout the store give a sense of nostalgia to its visitors. Harper’s Old Country Store offers a wide array of WV gifts, locally crafted items, and grocery items. Buckwheat pancake mix, maple syrup, and WV blown glass are just a few items you can pick up on your shopping excursion.
Just above Harper’s Old Country Store is the Front Porch Restaurant which is the perfect place to unwind after a hike up Seneca Rocks. Wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and drinks are just a few menu items.
