The 16th Annual Trout Fest was less than ordinary this year. With guidance from Pendleton County Emergency Services Department, due to the high water levels, the 16th Annual Trout Rodeo take way of different sorts this year. Patrons were asked not to fish on Saturday May 7, 2022, but instead were invited back to the river side of Franklin for the next two weeks, in hopes of winning that prize money fish!

Registered participants were asked to fish until May 20, 2022 where they have a chance to catch tagged fish. The only stipulations are that you MUST be registered to fish the rodeo, present your tag, your wrist band given to you are registration, as well as your ID. In return, you will receive the winnings that would have been rewarded to you the original day of the Trout Rodeo.

16th Annual WV Trout Fest

  The weekend’s activities begin on Friday evening with a Fish Dinner at the Pendleton Community Building featuring WV Metro News Outdoor, Chris Lawrence as the guest speaker.
